Very Good

Cosy hostel making most of expectations come true.

The staff must behave more welcoming. The rule of kicking out everyone from the hostel from 11 to 13 with the excuse of cleaning time is not pleasant for the guests

Quite good variant for short stop, but very expensive.

location is perfect! enough toilets and showers. Very clearly, every day cleaning. Only 3 beds in our room.

extra expensive! no towers for free, no lockers for free. crazy for this price! Kitchen opening time is not comfortable - not allowed for morning using. Noise from the road.

Good enough I guess.

It seemed safe, it was clean. There were enough bathrooms and showers, it has a kitchen with a fridge and other appliances you can use.

When you first arrive, they will trick you into thinking you must pay with cash. But this is something common in Italy, they just prefer to receive the payment in cash because that way they don’t pay some of the additional charges that come with a card machine, if you don’t have cash, just tell them and insist and they will eventually give you a card reader. The place isn’t divided between men and women and the first night I slept with 5 men in the room. (I was the only woman) I felt a bit unsafe but everything went well. The next day, without asking, the person in charge, changed me into a better room. One of the bathrooms smell a bit bad, not extremely bad but a bit. It was one of the drains. I got stuck in the old elevator at 6:00 am in the morning, it was scary but the person in charged came (after I called) and instructed me in how to get out.

Had a pleasant stay overall here at Zidan Guest House

Check in went smoothly; room was bright and spacious; large lockers provided for each guest!

two night solo stay

The room was spacious, bed linen was clean, toilets and showers were old but clean. NB! You need to bring your on lock for the locker

Kitchen area was rather dirty and for all two days of my stay there was a guy sleeping in a kitchen area. That was unpleasant and made using the kitchen difficult in the morning. There were no screen or curtains between the beds in the room - not even minimum privacy

Good location, not value for money

The location is good - close to Roma Termini and ample of food options nearby. Bed was comfortable and clean. Locker facilities are provided at €5 per person outside of your stay timings.

The property is not value for money. The room is practically empty with just 3 beds and gives an old vibe. The room door does not have a lock and you need to get your own lock for your luggage. Also, irrespective of the number of days of stay, you have to leave your room at 11am for the cleaning staff. The entire apartment could do with a bit of renovation and redesigning.

Late Check-in and Early Check-out

I was availed a space with qibla signage to say my prayers, which was quite touching. Check-in was smooth and the night guy on duty was kind

Was farther than thought from Termini and the lack of AC was felt as Rome was very hot during my stay and the non-revolving fan didnt really cover the room of 3.

Pleasant

Located near the Termini Station. The rooms are quite clean, also the bathrooms, except the first had fungus at the ceiling (probably because many people shower and there is no windows. Reception is neat and common room is also nice to meet people. There's an elevator where you can also store a bike. There are cabinets in the rooms for which you need to bring your own locker.

There is only WiFi in the common room. As i was there in july, it was really hot and the first night there was only one fan. The second night they brought in a second fan, this night was really ok. 92 euro for two nights is way to overpriced for a hostel, but i guess that's just Rome

Hostel not Worth Recommended

Its close to prime locations, and you can just walk to the Colosseum and other Piazza.

The property do not have an aircon units which during hot summers its very very hot inside the rooms. An electric fan is provided but it is not sufficient if there are 4 people staying inside the room. There is no space for common areas like living room and there is only a small kitchen and a small hallway which the reception is also there. You'll have to pay Euro 5 for each luggage you will store which I believe is costly given the fact that you stayed at their hostel. Its on the 2nd Floor and sometimes the elevator is not working so goodluck to you if you have a lot of luggage.

It’s an ok place to stay

The bedroom and the bathroom were cleaner than I thought they would be, although they could be a tiny bit better, of course. The cabinet to store the bags was also ok (but one of the cabinets had the door a bit damaged, which wasn’t a problem to store the bags though). The location (near Termini and Republica stations) is also quite convenient. Considering the price, it was a nice place to stay overall.

It would be better if women were placed with other women in the same bedroom whenever that is possible, seeing as me and my friend (also a woman), had to share the room with 2 men for a couple of nights. We didn’t have any problems with that, but there were other women staying in the hostel, so we thought the effort of putting them with us would’ve been nice. The beds aren’t too comfortable and the bathroom, although clean, could be a bit cleaner. It surely isn’t the most comfortable place, but it could be much worse and is indeed a viable option.
